  • A well-established engineering practice with global footprints is looking to make a strategic hire at the Associate Director/Technical Director level to support a strong pipeline of projects in Singapore and in SEA. With the Singapore office being the HQ for their regional office, a certain degree of travelling around projects in SEA is expected of the successful candidate.

    Over the years, this engineering practice has managed to demonstrate their extensive expertise in the design and delivery of mission critical facilities around the world. 

    The successful candidate will be required to manage and lead the design of mechanical and electrical systems, prepare tender packages, specifications and drawings. You will lead and mentor a group of mechanical and electrical engineers on large and complex projects during tendering, design and construction phase. 

    • Demonstrable experience in leading large groups of engineers through all phases of the project
    • Prepare and review tender packages including specifications and drawings
    • Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress
    • Review of the design of M&E systems for technical compliance with specified and contracted client/customer requirement
    • Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent
    • Minimum a Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
    • Registered with either the Professional Engineers board in Singapore or Chartered Engineers
    • At least 12 years of detailed design experience with an engineering practice
    • Experience in leading the design of a Tier II - IV data centre, anywhere in the world
    • Due to the complex nature of data centre projects, only candidates with good data centre experience will be considered.
    • Strong technical understanding in various M&E systems pertaining to data centres
    • Highly proficient in communication and negotiation skills
