Women in Built Env Speakers
Archer Recruitment hosted their second instalment of a series of networking events – Women in Built Environment(WBE). We were pleased to welcome professionals across real estate, construction, engineering, project & facilities management in Singapore, including representatives from the Association of Women in Construction (AWICS). This event was aimed at promoting diversity, recognizing the challenges that women face in a male-dominated environment and measures individuals and companies have taken to encourage equality and inclusion in the workplace.

We had the honour of having Ng Hui Xin and Danielle Lim grace our event as guest speakers – who shared personal experiences on their journeys from graduate to a leader, how past and current organizations have supported their growth and their perspectives on the future for women in built environment. The sharing session included a Q&A at the end and the participation from the floor was nothing short of inspiring. It was certainly a platform that gave everyone an opportunity to express their thoughts on the current climate in built environment and how we can all affect change.

Samantha Soh, Regional Manager and Organizer commented “Archer has been a huge advocate of diversity in the workplace and saw an opportunity within the build industry in Singapore where very few of such events exist. This is almost a first for women in construction/built environment in Singapore and we are proud to be a pioneer of such a meaningful and inspiring initiative. There will be many more to come and we are proud to officially launch this as a women’s series, also now known as WBE”.

We are very grateful to those who attended, especially our contributors Ng Huixin and Danielle Lim who took time out of their busy schedules to be a part of this event. The evening was a resounding success and we look forward to hosting and meeting everyone again.
