Construction Manager – Data Centre Projects

Are you ready to take ownership of large-scale redevelopment and fit-out projects in mission-critical environments? We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee capital expenditure works across multiple data centre developments in the Southeast Asia region. This is a senior-level role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and coordinate external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver complex redevelopment and fit-out programmes.
• Negotiate contracts and manage revisions, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Oversee construction methods, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and implement innovative approaches to de-risk programmes and enhance delivery.
• Direct and monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports for senior stakeholders, including financial and cash-flow updates.
• Champion modern project management and quality assurance techniques, embedding best practice across all phases of design and build.
• Drive timely resolution of issues, implement contingency plans, and ensure smooth handover from construction to operations.
• Support customer-facing teams with technical input during discussions and queries.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, construction, or project management.
• Significant experience in data centre construction and delivery of large capital expenditure projects with a strong M&E focus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across diverse geographies.
• Strong knowledge of construction building practices, mechanical & electrical systems, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office, with a solid grasp of project management tools and techniques.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate initiative, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
