Director, Commercial - APAC

A leading data centre organisation is seeking an accomplished Director, Commercial to oversee commercial management across the Asia-Pacific region within the construction sector. This senior role emphasizes cost control, contract management, and financial planning to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy: Lead cost management and procurement strategies across the APAC region, ensuring efficient delivery of projects within budget and mitigating risks effectively.
Contract Management: Manage all contractual elements of project design, procurement, and operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and reducing potential liabilities.
Process Improvement: Develop and refine cost control and risk management procedures, driving efficiency and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Regional Focus: Adapt strategies to meet diverse regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements across different APAC markets, ensuring successful project execution.
Leadership and Strategy: Provide financial analysis, budget forecasting, and strategic insights to support executive decision-making and long-term planning.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

Degree in construction management, engineering, finance, quantity surveying, or a similar discipline.
10+ years of commercial management experience in construction, including large-scale project oversight and financial planning.
Leadership experience with a proven ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.
In-depth knowledge of regional compliance, procurement, and cost management practices within APAC.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with industry experience in mission-critical facilities or data centers preferred.

The position requires regular travel within APAC and close collaboration with diverse teams across construction sites and operational centers.
