My Client is a leading global construction business known for delivering high-profile and complex infrastructure projects across the world. In light of recent project wins in the Philippines, they are looking for an experienced Lead Estimator to join a dynamic team.
  
Job Summary:
As a Lead Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase of large-scale infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be crucial in accurately estimating the costs and resources required to ensure our projects are completed on time and within budget. You will lead a team of estimators, work closely with project managers and other stakeholders, and use your extensive experience in large infrastructure projects to deliver precise and comprehensive estimates.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Estimation Leadership: Lead and oversee a team of estimators, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team consistently produces accurate and timely estimates.
  2. Project Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of project plans, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements and constraints.
  3. Cost Estimation: Utilize industry-standard estimating tools, historical data, and your own expertise to develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for each project.
  4. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges related to cost estimation and develop mitigation strategies.
  5. Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals for submission to clients, ensuring compliance with all project requirements.
  6. Value Engineering: Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality or safety.
  7. Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other partners to secure competitive pricing and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  8. Cost Tracking: Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction phase, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  9. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and the latest developments in construction technology to continuously improve the estimating process.
  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading estimating teams and managing complex projects.
  • Strong proficiency in construction cost estimating software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
