My client is a leading multinational contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-quality civil and industrial projects across APAC. 

Role Overview: As the Regional Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of our business within the designated region. Working closely with the executive team, you will drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency while upholding company values and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership: Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the regional team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  2. Business Development: Lead business development efforts to identify and pursue new opportunities for growth within the region, including expansion into new markets and sectors.
  3. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that we deliver exceptional value and service.
  4. Project Oversight: Oversee the successful execution of all projects within the region, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
  5. Financial Management: Drive financial performance within the region, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability targets.
  6. Talent Management: Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the region, providing mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies within the region.
  8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, operations, and external factors that may impact the business.
  9. Reporting: Provide regular reporting and updates to the executive team on the performance of the region, including financial metrics, project status, and strategic initiatives.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and innovation within the region, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and management experience within the construction industry, specifically in marine construction, preferably in a multinational context.
  • Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of construction project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulations, market dynamics, and industry trends within the region.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changing business environments.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering value to clients, shareholders, and employees.
