We are working with a leading, well-established consultancy to appoint Senior Commercial Managers with strong technical authoring capability into their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business delivering complex, high-value projects across major infrastructure sectors.

The Role

This position sits at the intersection of commercial management and technical contract development. You will play a key role in shaping contract documentation, ensuring risks are identified, understood, and effectively mitigated from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

Lead on contract formation, drafting, and review, with a focus on clarity and risk allocation
Interrogate contract documents to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential exposure
Support project teams in developing robust, commercially sound contract strategies
Work closely with contractors and supply chain partners, applying real-world insight into contractual risk
Contribute to complex programmes across sectors including rail, water, nuclear, and defence

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience in a Senior Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager role
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 essential)
Demonstrable experience in contract drafting and technical documentation
Background working with or alongside contractors, with a clear understanding of commercial risk
Experience across infrastructure or highly regulated sectors (rail, nuclear, defence, water, etc.)
