Senior Cost Manager - Switzerland

Archer Recruitment is working with a global construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Switzerland, to work on a new build manufacturing project for a global pharmaceutical company.
  
This is a client-facing role working on site in the west of Switzerland, close to the French border. Language skills in German or French are ideal but not essential, as the client is English speaking.
  
The responsibilities of the role will include:

• Actively participate in the tender process from initial documentation through to analysis and reporting, ensuring maximum value for the client.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to the team.
• Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor from a consultancy or contractor background with 7-10 years’ experience. Experience working in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is highly desirable but not essential.

A salary up to 145,000 CHF is on offer, with benefits including healthcare, pension, life assurance, and 25 days holiday.

Candidates will ideally have the right to work in Switzerland with an EU Passport, but the company is able to provide visa sponsorship if required.
