Senior CSA Quantity Surveyor - Data Centres

We are currently seeking a Senior CSA Cost Manager to join a specialist consultancy focusing on mission-critical projects on a freelance basis. This role is to manage CSA packages for a new build hyperscale data centre project in Norway. The role will be fully remote until May 2026 when it goes to site, and will then require some travel to the client site.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead CSA cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
Deliver cost plans, budget estimates, and value engineering assessments remotely.
Review and evaluate contractor pricing, procurement strategies, and tender returns.
Manage change control, risk identification, and financial reporting processes.
Administer CSA contract elements, including claims, variations, and valuations.
Attend virtual project meetings and client reviews as required.
Coordinate with wider project cost and controls teams, including MEP and planning disciplines.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
7–10+ years of post-qualification experience in cost consultancy or client-side roles.
Strong background in CSA disciplines on large-scale construction projects.
Proven experience with remote delivery and virtual collaboration tools.
Familiarity with international construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or similar).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote freelance setup.
Data centre, pharmaceutical, or high-tech industrial sector experience preferred.
Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, AACE, CIOB) is advantageous.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK, with some requirement to travel to the consultant’s head office in the London area, and for overseas travel to client sites on occasion.
