On behalf of one our key clients, we are recruiting Senior Estates Planning Manager to join their team and contribute to their mission of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in public sector estates planning.

About the Role:
As a Senior Estates Planning Manager, you will work within a strategic life sciences service line, supporting the development and management of a major government department’s Science Estate. This full-time role requires a minimum of three days per week at the project site in the south home counties, with occasional travel to other UK locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage plot development for the client’s estate
  • Oversee client needs processes and engage with stakeholders
  • Manage the Estate Development Control Plan and Technical Board
  • Lead report management and business processes within the planning function
  • Assist in developing robust information to support project delivery and implementation
  • Provide strategic advisory support
  • Contribute to business development within the life sciences service line

Essential Skills:
  • Proven consultative approach to client work
  • Strong stakeholder management and alliance-building capabilities
  • Analytical thinker with a critical approach
  • Proficient in data-driven analysis for strategic decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Expertise in delivering high-quality presentations and reports
  • Process improvement and compliance management experience
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit
  • Proficiency in Autodesk software (AutoCAD and Revit)
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related construction industry field
  • Significant experience in the construction industry or public sector
  • Project Management qualification (Prince 2 / APM PQ)
  • Strong relationships with technical partners and sector specialists
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Estate strategy delivery experience
  • Familiarity with public sector estates teams
  • Experience with laboratories and high containment environments
  • Advanced degree or postgraduate qualification
  • Chartered status (ARB/RIBA, RICS, CIAT, CIBSE)
