Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Energy Infrastructure Project Location: Exeter (Bristol-based support) Hybrid Working | Travel Covered

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of a landmark £350m Battery Energy Storage Scheme (BESS) in Exeter.
This nationally significant energy infrastructure project will play a critical role in supporting the UK’s transition to net zero. The development comprises a 300-acre greenfield site and a 1.5km transmission connection into the substation, with an anticipated two-year delivery programme.
The Role
We are seeking an executive-level Senior QS to take full day-to-day commercial ownership of the project. This is a high-impact position requiring strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the confidence to operate autonomously on a complex infrastructure scheme.
You will be responsible for managing commercial performance, risk, procurement, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement across the lifecycle of the project.

Key Requirements
- 7+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience
- Executive-level capability with strong commercial leadership
- Experience in power, HV, transmission, and/or heavy civils preferred
- Strong working knowledge of NEC4 ECC (essential)
- FIDIC experience advantageous
- Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects
- 3 days per week on site in Exeter
- 1-2 days remote working
- Travel expenses covered
