Senior Project Surveyor

Archer Recruitment is working with an impressive start-up cost consultancy to recruit a Senior Project Surveyor to its London team. The business is led by 4 highly experienced Partners in the PQS market who have built up an excellent client base since they started in 2021. They have a team of 10 employees and plan to double this in the next 12 months.

The company has a varied workload and is currently working on projects including new build commercial and residential developments, office fit-outs, hotel, stadium redevelopment, and life sciences schemes. They are also working on a number of high profile international projects at pre-contract stage.

The Senior Project Surveyor will work on a number of projects, which can be tailored to their prior experience and preferences. Key duties will include:

• Preparing budget estimates/cost plans
• Preparing bills of quantities
• Preparing tender documents
• Tender evaluation and report
• Interim valuations
• Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor’s claims
• Effective variation control
• Reporting direct to clients including presentations
• Assist with mentoring and training of Surveyors

The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified with 5+ years’ cost consultancy experience. They should have excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills and a proven track record managing projects of a large capital value.

On offer is a salary between £60,000-70,000 depending on level of experience, plus 30 days annual leave, private healthcare, pension, gym memberships and other benefits. The company have a modern open-plan office close to Old Street, and flexible working policies.
