Opportunity to join a top 20 UK consutruction consultancy in North London / Essex.
Archer is currently working with an independent construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its North East London / Essex based office.
The company has an impressive client base and experienced cost management team of around 45 surveyors across the business. Their work is varied across project sectors including residential development, heritage, education, hotels and healthcare, and have worked on high profile developments across London and the South East.
The Senior QS will take responsibility for their own portfolio of projects, which can be tailored to their prior experience. Duties will include:
The office is based in North London / Essex, close to the M25 and M11 and there is free parking available for staff.
Candidates for this role should be MRICS chartered, and ideally from a construction consultancy / PQS background. They should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be professional, self-motivated and able to work independently using own initiative.

- Preparing budget estimates/cost plans
- Preparing bills of quantities
- Preparing tender documents
- Tender evaluation and report
- Interim valuations
- Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor’s claims
- Effective variation control
- Reporting direct to clients including presentations
- Assist with mentoring and training of Surveyors
The office is based in North London / Essex, close to the M25 and M11 and there is free parking available for staff.
