Our client is one of Singapore’s leading A1 construction firms which has a strong construction portfolio in large scale iconic building projects. They are looking for a Sustainability Manager to champion the importance of environmentally sustainable design and best practices as part of the strategy and road map towards the goals of Carbon Neutral by 2050.
  
  
Job Description:
Reports to Managing Director & General Manager
  • Reviews design process for the construction projects and help Business Development Department in the BD activities from sustainability perspective for new clients and markets.
  • Participates in design review of projects and provide advice and support on technical know-hows with regards to the sustainability initiatives
  • Support the technical evaluation of environmental sustainability design related frameworks, processes and policies such as LEEDS, Green Mark, LUSH, WSUD, BREEAM, TRUE certification, UL certification etc.
  • Pioneer and implement collaboration initiatives with niche green design technology and service providers
  • Strengthen in-house capabilities in developing conceptual plans and design for environmental sustainability related scope e.g: carbon neutral, embodied carbon, operating carbon accounting, clean energy, thermal comfort, materials & waste.
  • Drive new sustainable initiatives pertaining to Green Buildings, Green Precincts, Renewable Energies and set measurable sustainability targets and propose means to track the results, coupled with follow-ups on lessons learnt and improvements to achieve sustainability goals for all design work
  • Review of sustainability specifications and requirements
  
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building or relevant field
  • Possesses at least 8 -10 years of environmental sustainability experience in construction sector
  • Experience in Green Mark & LEEDS certification required
  • Strong understanding of the environmental sustainability for construction and workflows would be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of sustainability issues, international standards and best practice.
