Technical Manager - Tender

Our client is one of Singapore’s leading A1 civil contracting firm which has a strong construction portfolio in public and private construction projects. They are looking for a Technical Manager to lead the technical specifications requirements for tender.
  
Job Description:

• Lead design team and review shop drawings on C&S design for tender stage
• Review tender documents including drawings, specifications, scope of works and contract conditions
• Develop technical strategies and construction methodologies to support competitive bids
• Highlight project risks, design optimization and changes
• Identify engineering challenges and propose practical solutions during tender stage
• Ensure all technical submissions comply with client requirements and regulatory standards
• Coordination with internal team and ensure technical proposes are aligned with cost estimates and project timelines
• Identify construction risks, constraints and mitigation measures.
• Attend tender interviews and technical presentations when required
• Respond to technical queries and clarifications from client
• Conduct handover to project delivery team once the project is awarded

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Min 10 years of design coordination experience in A1 main-contractor including tendering experience
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and ability to lead a team
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, temporary works planning, engineering design coordination and risk
